I thought long and hard about the layering of these and realised that you can get thicker frosted acrylic which looks the same as mirror acrylic so it was perfect for the layering of this piece to make them appear layered like real ladybirds and the order of the wings

This lion design has been in the pipeline since I first started Rock The Panda in 2018 and in that year I also sourced the lighter golden marble pearl acrylic from a supplier in the US

8mm plywood backplates which are painted black and varnished

stainless steel wire hoops or leaf studs (to match the statement peony necklace) to hang them from all of which are made from surgical steel and the backs for the studs are butterfly backs
